DEGREE COURSES

Bachelors of Arts in Islamic Studies

This programs aims to develop foundation of Islamic knowledge and specific skills to students through various units offered. It is taught by holders of Master Degrees and PhDs.

The course will enable students to:

  • Gain deeper understanding of Islamic Concepts.
  • Understand theoretical and contemporary issues in Islamic Education.
  • Start a career as Muslim Educator.

Course Details

Duration:

4 Academic Years (8 semesters of 15 weeks each)

Syllabus:

Adopted from International Institution for Arabic Language.

Schedule:

6 Sessions per week (Mondays to Saturdays) Each session (1 – 2 hrs.) Evening Sessions: 4:00 – 8:00 PM

Requirements:

Thanawi Certificate (Very Good) or KCSE (Grade: C+ and above)

Cost:

KES 25,000 per semester. Registration Fee: KES 1,000.

 

Bachelors of Arts in Education (Arabic Language)

This programs aims to develop foundation of professional knowledge, specific skills and competencies for working in further Education and Training. The Curriculum for the BEd (Arts) Programme is designed to provide adequate opportunities in both theory and practice of Education in order to train and produce qualified graduate teachers/Educators for the achievement of the national goals of Education and development. It is recognized as a teaching qualification by the League of Arab States.

The course will enable students to:

  • Gain deeper understanding of Teaching Methodology and Arabic Language.
  • Understand theoretical and contemporary issues in Islamic Education.
  • Start a career as Muslim Educator.
